Nose injury? Please help?

I injured my nose in the swimming pool last year November. I was swimming and hit the swimming wall head first but only injured my nose. It went really swollen and and a bump appeared Straight after. I went to A&E and they examined me and told me to not worry because it's not bleeding and shouldn't go crooked she said it's just swollen and the bump should go away within a couple of weeks. 3 weeks after this i went to my GP he shrugged it off and told me not to worry bumps on the noses take several months to go. It's now been 6 months since i had the injury and the bump has reduced a lot. There is still a bump on one side of my nose this is because i injured the left side badly. This nose injury has made self conscious and i really can't look at people in the eye, and i've always got my head down. I've waited nearly over 6 moths for it to go back to normal but i don't know who to see about it can't see my Gp because he is useless. What would you advise?
